A published writer and researcher with journalism and French degrees (B.A., B.A., M.F.S) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Sarah has been writing more days than not since she was a kid. She used her skills for nearly 20 years in writing and international leadership jobs in corporate America, but then turned her attention to one of her most important roles: mother. Her passions for research and writing didn't end with motherhood, though; rather, they gave her new motivation to write about the positive parenting journey. She finds her inspiration not only from her own child, but also from visiting and working in multiple classrooms per week. At one school in particular, she's fortunate to work alongside an internationally renowned early childhood educator, author, and speaker as his Teacher's Assistant. She'd like to invite you to follow along as she learns from teachers big and small.
With a home base in Seattle, she's an optimistic world traveler who still cherishes snail mail. She also knows quite a bit about healthy living (especially cooking). When she's not writing, she's probably inventing an allergy-friendly and delicious something-or-other in the kitchen.

The Husband (a.k.a. Mike)
Although I'm not the main writer of the house, I do have my own stories to tell. On Dandelion Seeds, I mainly write about cooking, health, products I like, and travel. I battled what most would call food allergies for 20 years (but have since learned is histamine intolerance). While I seem to have persevered by the grace of God (I no longer frequently call 9-1-1), the journey I've taken completely changed my views on health and life. My wife and I share our experiences and recipes with hope that they'll help you, too.
I spend most of my free time playing with our daughter, but occasionally bike the trails of the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
